What is DLT Registration? Why It Is Required For SMS Service In India?

 Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) is a block-chain based registration system. According to TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India), telemarketers have to be registered in the DLT platform.

It is being issued in the public interest to control the SMS spam from various marketing firms.

Earlier the bulk SMS providers were required to register with TRAI. With the updated rules, whoever wants to send promotional or transactional SMS to their customers needs to be DLT registered.

What Is DLT?


he DLT platform keeps records of all the transactions made by the network participants. 

It is mandatory as per the new TRAI regulations. Communication messages like OTP, verification codes, notification, etc sent by businesses to their customers need to be registered in the TRAI DLT platform.

There are multiple phases to implement the above regulation which mandated the use of blockchain-based technology known as DLT. Most of the telecom operators have already implemented the DLT system.

It’s aimed at creating more transparency and reducing the incidence of spam and fraud done through SMS.

  नवी दिल्ली  – फिक्कीने आयोजित केलेली ‘इलेक्ट्रिक मोबिलिटी कॉन्फरन्स २०२०’ पार पडली यावेळी येत्या काळात पारंपारिक इंधनाची भासत असलेल्या तुटवडा लक्षात घेत तसेच प्रदूषण नियंत्रणासाठी इलेक्ट्रॉनिक वाहनांचा वापर करणे गरजेचे आहे यावर चर्चा करण्यात आली. यावेळी बोलताना केंद्रीय रस्ते वाहतूक आणि महामार्ग मंत्री नितीन गडकरी यांनी वाहन उद्योगाने इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनांची किंमत कमी करावी, असे आवाहन केले. सरकारकडून जीएसटी सवलतीसह इतर अनुदान देत इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन उत्पादकांना सहाय्य केले जात असल्याचेही गडकरी यांनी म्हटले आहे. गडकरी वाहनांच्या किमती परवडणाऱ्या दरात करण्यासाठी वाहन उत्पादक संशोधन आणि विकास करू शकतात. त्यांनी आता इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनांची किंमती करण्याची गरज आहे. मात्र, ते किमती कमी करण्याच्या मनस्थितीत नाहीत. त्यामुळे मोठ्या प्रमाणात इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनांचा वापर वाढत नाही. जर इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनांच्या उत्पादकांकडून मोठ्या प्रमाणात उत्पादन घेण्यात आले नाही तर, उत्पादनाच्या खर्चात कपात होणार नाही. कुठेतरी आपण सुरुवात करण्याची गरज आहे. सरकारकडून तुम्हाला जीएसटी सवलत व अनुदान देण्यात येते. त्यामुळे इलेक्ट्रिक
